Cruise And Travel Information
PASSPORTS REQUIRED ! ! !
All travel which requires an exit from the US shall require a current US Passport. This includes those cruises to and from Alaska and Hawaii. Because of the Jones Act all foreign registered ships are required to stop and dock at least once during a cruise in a foreign port. For those of you that do not have a passport the link below is the complete passport application and instruction set.
U.S. Department of State

You can save this document and work on it at your leisure. REMEMBER ADULT (over 16 years) PASSPORTS ARE GOOD FOR 10 YEARS UNDER THAT AGE ARE GOOD FOR ONLY 5 YEARS.
AIR TRANSPORT TO/FROM CRUISE SHIP
Most all cruises we book can, at your request, include air and ground transport for the cruise. This means all you need to do is get to your local major airport and the rest is covered. This includes the airfare from your home to the ships port airport and then ground transportation from the airport to the ship (in some cases, this requires you to travel the day before the cruise starts and will include an overnight hotel stay as part of the package). Of course the reverse is also supplied upon the return from your cruise.
Not all airplanes (airlines) were created equal!!! That's right. When flying, especially if the flight is over 2 hours in length you might want to check the below website and see what the size of your seat will be on the plane. This site will ask what airline and then what model plane. This will give you a drawing of the planes layout.
Above the layout drawing are some numbers you should know about. The chart gives the following information. It lists the types of seats available on the flight. It gives the PITCH for each type of seat. THE PITCH is the measured distance between where the seat bottom and the seat back meet and the back of the seat in front of the seat. In other words how much legroom you will have. Obviously width is the width of the seat cushion you will be sitting on. NOT ALL SEATS ARE CREATED EQUAL. The website giving this information is listed below.
